ACCA Continuity of Practice

ACCA Continuity of Practice

Didn't find your answer?

I've been a sole director of an incorporated ACCA practice for four years and have continuity of practice arrangements with an outside firm.

I have just sold 50% of my shares to another ACCA practitioner who has joined my firm.

We now see the outside continuity arrangement as unnecessary and have taken advice from ACCA to begin the process of removing it.

The general guidelines state that we must amend our articles to include COP arrangements, but the ACCA themselves have told us that we can just have a written agreement between ourselves, without amending the articles.

Either way the ACCA do not seem to issue specific guidance on in-house arrangements, and I just wondered if anyone else had considered this issue and how they had addressed it.
