ACCA Practising Certificate

ACCA Practising Certificate

Didn't find your answer?

Hi can you help please?

I applied for my practising certificate just over a year ago, which I successfully obtained. I am now employed, but want to keep that option open. Do I need to keep renewing my certificate (on a part time basis) even though I don't need it at the moment, so it is there for the future or can you pick it up again in the future with ease. The problem with renewing it is the professional indemnity insurance, as you need to provide details of it when you renew the certificate.

Thanks for reading

Once you have been approved for a practising certificate you dont need to go through the whole proof of experience again, they just keep it on record. So yes it is easy to re apply again in future.

I had no problems re applying after a couple of years.

As above, give them a call and they will give you a definite answer but I believe there is a "part time" practising certificate available, for income of under £8k, at a fraction of the cost which may be an option.

Thank you all.

I called ACCA and you were right Musclefoot, I didn't realise that once you had applied and obtained it, you don't have to renew but they bank the experience for the future.

Saved me £83 :)
