Has anyone else had problems with Agent Services?

I have registered a number of clients for online filing using this service.

However after filimg the 2004/2005 Return some clients mysteriously disappear from the client list.

For two clients they were reinstated after a call to the online help desk.

However the response to my call for a third client received the response that they could do nothing as there was no note of any agent and anyway "all the registration does is to enable online filing."

To be fully registered a 64-8 is still required apparently.

Is this correct does anyone know??

If it is what is the point of the service other than as a 31st January (or should I say 30th November) quick fix?

Agent issues
I cannot comment on online filing because I have only usedit for PAYE but for SA I use it to review clients statements etc. I too have had problems where clients for whom I hold a 64/8 have not appeared on the site and I have written to the Districts in question and asked to have them put on. However on Monday when one did not appear I rang the online helpline number .I discovered that when we had a slight name change a few years ago the Inland revenue had not amended their records but had in fact created a new agent identifier number for us. But of course they left the other one still in existence as well. So the person I spoke to explained that when keying in the 64/8 someone in the tax district might hit the wrong agent id no and therefore although when I tell them who I am they can talk to me when I access the webiste and log on my client will not appear under my log on. Dont know whether you have had any changes of name, address etc but it might be worth investigating
