Air miles

A director pays for company travel costs by using his personal Air Miles, the company therefore incurs no cost and gets no tax relief.

Is this as far as it goes?

Is there not a case for the company reimbursing the director for the cost of the flights? Effectively the director would have converted his Air Miles into cash.

Has anyone looked into this before and if so is there any mileage in it?
