annual investment allowance - vans

I have a client who wants to change his van. Will the van qualify for AIA?

Also what constitutes a van apart from the obvious?
For example does a Vauxhall Vivaro Crew Van (with 3 rear seats but with the same body shape and other features as a standard Vivaro van) qualify as a commercial vehicle? The van is being sold as subject to VAT.

vans
Vans are plant and machinery and do, therefore, qualify for the AIA, unlike cars which are not.

Have a look here for details about the difference between vans and cars: -
