Any experience of Wave to share?

Didn't find your answer?

I'd be interested to know if anyone has any clients using this - I have a client (not VAT registered) considering it because she is attracted by it being both free and online.  I have my doubts about it but have so far not found any reviews from anyone using it in earnest.

Many thanks in advance

Talking to a colleague about this the other day as we have both had new clients requesting to use it. I had a very quick look so not made my mind up. It does only allow one bank account so if you have a second one or a paypal account you will be stuck.

I have about 30 clients using wave, it's actually quite popular, you can link as many bank accounts to it as you like and they seem to be regularly adding new features. I try to steer VAT Registered clients away from it though as it is far from ideal in this respect but for small businesses it functions well enough. It's the least complicated for paypal and has some useful features that a lot of the other packages charge extra for. There are a few minor quirks that need work arounds but as I say, these are minor. I find it to be quite user friendly, I have a handful of clients using QuickBooks online and see no end of issues there which are much harder to unravel. A lot of my clients use online packages, xero, freeagent and quickfile appear to be equally as popular as wave and are much better for the VAT Registered and not to be ruled out is Capium, they only charge for the bank feeds and whilst not as function heavy as some I find it works well.

For free it's incredible. Good looking UI and sales invoices too. Price aside it's still rates as fantastic in my book for the non-VAT registered. Canada based tho so long term not likely to support MTD.

I have 3 non-VAT, sole traders who use it. Simple, effective and easy to set up and share. Certainly worth considering.

As with so many packages, it has minor irritations, but I can overlook these for the cost:)
The support from Wave is great.
I also have a few small SME on it, however, doesn't do Statutory accounts or Corp Tax calc, so now need to consider a package for that.
Overall I would recommend Wave
