Anyone have an experience, bad or otherwise of QDOS Fee protection

Anyone have an experience, bad or otherwise of QDO

Didn't find your answer?

They called, I met them. They offered much cheaper quotes than current provider. CCsomething?!

Is it a case of you get what you pay for? They say the price will be fixed, ie I've not got a cheap quote for the first year. I rarely have any claims anyway.

Thank you

ps sorry there was no tag for Fee protection or insurance so I plumpt for Tax

Not heard of them, sorry.
I take it you're with CCH
I'd be interested to hear answers also, as I have a client asking for fee protection and it's not something I have in place.
I always assume it will be a case of 'as your client was careless, we will not pay out'.

"NAH MAN", fee protection is a big scam. I always make a profit between what CCH charges me and what I charge on. Easy money.
No, the insurers always pay out. Whether client is careless or not will only be determined at the end of the enquiry surely. After interim claims anyway.
Certain people have jumped ship to Qdos from CCH, their staff.

Agreed, insurance can be a big earner.

You can get a policy that covers all clients, and then you can re-charge this to the clients each year.

On top of that, you can bill the insurance company for each concluded enquiry.

As HeavyMetalMike says, the insurance companies very easily pay out, other than in certain circumstances such as where a tax return was submitted late etc.

Used QDOS a couple of times. Found the system to be quite easy, sort out the bill at the end and got it paid with little problems. You get your standard insurance issues (mainly the payout is without VAT), but had no issues.
