My company is newly startup and a lot of the invoices are done manually, where a customer places an order on the website, we then download the transactions and invoice them using SAGE the following day.

I've seen advanced websites where customers places an order, the invoices gets emailed to them automatically and invoices gets recorded on the accounting system straightaway. The customer is also able to download and view invoices and order on their personal online account. How is this possible? Do you need a ERP system for this to work? What softwares have this kind of function?
