...don't use IE 9, it's rubbish.

I use IE9 under Windows 7 and haven't seen the problem.

With certificates, the important thing is to make sure that your clock is set to the right date and time. It doesn't have to be right down to the second, but if it is set to the wrong timezone or is more than a few minutes out you can have problems.

I've had this when travelling in the Far East before now.
