"Bank on Dave"

"Bank on Dave"

Didn't find your answer?

Did anybody happen to catch the Bank on Dave programme what was on recently? If so, what did you make of it?

Outstanding

I saw it as a 'what it would be like if the chuckle brothers wenrt into financial services' excercise!

He's certainly entertaining but I'm not sure I'd be queuing up to deposit my cash with him.

I actually quite liked his idea of simple banking, rather than the roulette approach the mainstream banks use with our money.

I thought he had a great personality, and it's no surprise he owns a successful business.

A possible conversation with Dave

Hi Dave...you remember that money I deposited in your bank?

We'll, can I have it back? I need to buy some food and fill up the car...

What do you mean "not really"?

You lent it to a bloke who spent it on a shark?

Really?

Seriously - a shark?!?

And that's my money?

Erm.

Haha - made me laugh.

But I would rather someone spend my money on a shark rather than it going on bankers bonuses!

Possible conversation with HBOS ...

@andy_north

Hi Mr Hornby ... you remember that money I deposited in your bank?

We'll, can I have it back? I need to buy some food and fill up the car...

What do you mean "not really"?

Well it's gone

But never mind that nice Mr Brown (GB) in cahoots with the FSA (Farsical Services) has intervened and you can get you money back from Lloyds instead, because they have been persuaded to take over your debts without 'due diligence' which has been waived; and potentially contrary to the EU rules on market share

Oh and by the way the Government has provided a bit of dosh to help the bank repay you your money; but get in there fast before they spend it on other things (salaries, bonuses, pensions etc.)

Also you had better be quick because Lloyds will have to sell the HBOS rubbish at a loss to another bank within the next few years due to EU rules
