Branded cars

Hi

Have any you branded your car with your corporate logo and contact details - I have seen Tax Assist cars recently and one had been done really nicely.

I was wondering if any of you who have branded your car got any business from it?

Its not that expensive so the brand awareness value should be beneficial but you then really need to watch the way you drive!!!!

Not done the car but...

...I did do the reg plate. My plate was "A6 TAX" with the header: "XYZ chartered accountants and tax advisors, it's not what you earn, its what you keep!" and the footer: "call today on 123456 or see www.xyz.com" (My office was based on the A6 so the plate made even more sense when you knew me)

I directly got two decent pieces of work from this plate, one in a petrol station, one in a traffic jam when the person in the car behind me rang my office and were patched through to my mobile!

I sold the plate for a small profit when I quit practice a few years ago, but, I'd get something similar if I was going again.

Thinking about it...

I have just started my own practice and as I drive a bright yellow, very obvious car I was wondering about doing this, so would also be interested to hear of other's results

I toyed with the idea of getting a Smart car branded up with

“The tax man paid for this car, my accountant’s telephone number is ....”

but Mrs Mouse didn't like that suggestion, no room for the shopping or kids or...

still don't see what her problem was.

I like that idea

Funny that, Mrs KA wouldn't appreciate it either

got this

I have a branded car. I changed the graphics to something more tasteful in keeping with an accountant's image. I have had no results.

My earlier over the top distasteful graphics did bring me clients - 2 recurring fees and 1 one off job. The costs of the branding were more than recovered,

I am thinking of going back to my poor taste graphics. It brought in business,

Branding

What I want to know is this: If a Smart Car is concertinaed to the size of a second class stamp between two 18 wheelers on the M40,  can you still read the graphics?

The graphics/branding rarely bring in business

What they MAY do is prompt people to get in touch. If you give a phone number then it's upto you to convert that call into a client (after pre-qualifying that they are someone you would like to have as a client). If you give a website then it is CRUCIAL that the website speaks to the prospect and engages them sufficiently the get in touch so that you can convert the call.

Whatever advertising, branding and promotion that you do, YOU invariably have to be capable of 'closing the sale'.

Branding

I have always advised clients to use the space on their vehicles for advertising, after all, its free 24/7.  When we had the shop (china) I bought a branded wheelcover for the Discovery and drove to the dentist in an adjoining town.  Someone saw the ad and bought several hundreds of pounds worth of expensive china from us so the wheel cover paid for itself in no time. We had a few other people 'phone us as they had been following us and saw the ad. Of course, not all cars have wheels on their rear door(:-). I am thinking of getting  magnetic signs for the car doors to advertise our website - you can take them off and put them back easily if the missus objects.
