Certificate of residency

Certificate of residency

Didn't find your answer?

Having had years of HMRC losing any certificates we sent in the post we discovered that the tax office in Wrexham would stamp them if we brought them in personally, which we were happy to do.

Sadly, the phone number for that office has changed and we can't arrange an appointment to have the forms signed.

Does anyone know if Wrexham still deal with these certificates and, if so, do they have the phone number?

And, if not, which office does deal with the certificates now and how do we contact them?

Our client doesn't trust HMRC to handle them properly if they are posted to a PO Box in Liverpool!

Q How do I get a certificate of UK residence?

A. From the HMRC office which normally deals with your tax affairs. If you deal with more than one tax office, you need to go to the one to which you send your tax returns.

Not terribly helpful, but HMRC reckon that's the answer!
