Change in accounting reference date

Change in accounting reference date

Didn't find your answer?

Last accounts (dormant) submitted to June 2010, now trading and wish to change ARD to December.

Just checking that we need to produce both accounts and CT600 for period 1/7/2010 to 31/12/10.

Seems obvious but would appreciate confirmation.

Thanks

Is this what you are thinking?

Reduce the accounting ref date to 31 December with Companies House and inform HMRC dealing with your client's CT about it. I strongly advice you include the confirmation email for the acceptance (assuming this was done online) of the change with your letter to HMRC. then it should be all staright forward from there.

Or ...

You could extend the current accounting period to 31 December 2011, produce one set of accounts (thus saving accountancy fees) for the 18 months, time-apportion them into two CT accounting periods of 12 months to 30 June 2011 and 6 months to 31 December 2011 and submit a separate CT600 for each period by 31 December 2012.

Accounts Due Date

I have an accounts make up date of 05 Apr 2012 and the accounts are due for submission on 05 Jan 2013.

Does anyone know if it is possible to extend the accounts make up date to 31 Dec 2012?

If so what would the date due for submission be. Would it still be 05 Jan 2013.

Thanks in anticipation.

Accounts Due Date

I have an accounts make up date of 05 Apr 2012 and the accounts are due for submission on 05 Jan 2013.

I have changed accountants because the old ones were slow to comoplete the accounts on time. They are also slow in handing over my data to the new accountant.

Does anyone know if it is possible to extend the accounts make up date to 31 Dec 2012?

If so what would the date due for submission be. Would it still be 05 Jan 2013 or would it be later?

Thanks in anticipation.

Extention of accounting reference date

I have a company that has just extended its year end date from its accounting reference date from 31 August 2012 to 31 January 2103.

I have a company that has just extended its year end date from its accounting reference date from 31 August 2012 to 31 January 2103.My question is, does the due for filing date extend by the same amount of months as the year end accounting reference date i.e. below by five months. So the due for filing is either 31 May 2013 or 31 October 2013?

Original dates

Year end                                 Due for filing

31 August 2012                       31 May 2013

Accounting Reference Date changed to (extended by 5 months)

Year end                                 Due for filing

31 January 2013                     31 May 2013 or 31 October 2103

Thanks for confirmation in advance

Dave
