Church accounts independent examination

Church accounts independent examination

Didn't find your answer?

I have been asked if I will perform the independent examination of the (baptist) church accounts (gross income of £125k)

Could anyone point me in the direction of a suitable work program I could follow please?

Thanks

Tracy

work program for Independent examination

I am the treasurer of my local baptist church and also an ACA in practice. You need to follow the rules on the Charity Commission website in their CC32 and evidence that you have followed the seven directions (receipts and payments account) or ten directions (accruals accounts). There is plenty of guidance on the following link:

email me with any further questions to [email protected]

Thanks for your prompt reply Andrew.  I had found that document and my treasurer also provided me with a copy of the BUC guidelines (doc207).  I was just hoping there was a sort of tick box checklist somewhere I could follow as it is several years since I've been a charity treasurer or any done year end reviews.  I appreciate you providing me with your email address - I may take you up on that in a few days when I'm in the thick of it.
