CIS software

Too big for Moneysoft

Didn't find your answer?

Does anybody know of any software that is as easy to use as Moneysoft for CIS300's?

Its not great for big datasets and is freezing on a regular basis when I open a client that has more than about 30 subcontractors.

Don't even mention Sage. Too cumbersome for me.

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Have you looked at BrightPay. It caters for CIS (unlimited sub contractors) as well as auto enrolment, RTI etc. It's priced similarly to Moneysoft and it's very user friendly.
I've moved all my clients to BrightPay now and have no regrets.
Best of luck!

We use MoneySoft with 30+ subbies and no freezing problems. I do have issues with MoneySoft eg subbie payment day has to be the same as employees, but these are minor issues.

I too would be interested in an alternative to Moneysoft for CIS. I think it's fine for a few subcontractors, but struggles with a large volume (anything over 10)
It's also really annoying that you cannot change the default file name when saving payslips and subcontractor deduction certificates. The file name is so long that it causes problems when saving. I've phoned Moneysoft couple of times on this issue, but they've just dismissed me saying I'm the only one with the problem.

I find no problems with more than 10 subcontractors, but I am puzzled about your inability to change the default file name when saving payslips and deduction certificates, assuming that you mean saving them as PDF files. To save payslips for April 2016, we just change the default file name to (say) "Company A 1701.pdf" and save it to a folder called Payslips. For May, we just click on the saved file and change the name from ...01 to ...02 and so on.

I'm using Brightpay for both payroll and CIS having moved from Moneysoft quite recently. CIS works well and I've experienced no issues to date. Support is very good. No complaints!
