CT return for period until Liquidation

CT return for period until Liquidation

Hi,

If company ceased trading on 31/12 and then liquidation process starts on 15/02, I understand we will require the corporation tax return for the period.

My question is since company ceased trading on 31/12 what should include on the accounts from 01/01 to 15/02, do we need to update the balance sheet? I assume there will be no profit and loss. Also on accounts do we need to inform that company ceased on 31/12.

Thanks

Was the company dormant from 1/1/16 - 15/2/16?  If so, straight forward CT return, no accounts required due to company being dormant.  CT return for period to 31/12/15 should be a normal one with full accounts attached.

Thankyou, yes there was no acitvity between 1/1/16 to 15/2/16 except CT and VAT payment, my understand was to update the trial balance balancesheet only since the bank balance was reduce due to these payments. or there should not be any entry at all like share holdings?  On CT return there is box which says accounts are atatched should I leave it tick? the return upto 31/12/15 has been prepared and submitted accordingly.
