CT600 When would you tick the box "I attach accounts and computations for a different period"

CT600 - when would you tick this box?

Didn't find your answer?

CT600 When would you tick the box "I attach accounts and computations for a different period"

Just completing 2 CTRs for a 14 month period and my software says to tick "I attach accounts and computations to which this return relates" and attach accounts for the first 12 month CTR and to leave both boxes blank and say Accounts submitted with accompanying return for the 2 month period.

So that got me wondering when you would tick the different period box - am I missing something?

I'd tick it when I attached accounts for a different period - but that's just me being logical.

Great answer thank you to the question I actually asked!

OK, that means I have another question then:

Do you think the advice in my software (which advises to tick the box "I attach accounts and computation for the period to which this return relates") is incorrect in the case of attaching a 14 month set of accounts 1/2/15 to 31/3/16 to a CTR for the period 1/2/15 to 31/1/16?

But you are attaching accounts for a 14 month period, the Ct is for 12 or 2, so different period, just one that encompasses your ct period

Yeah, I agree with Smokoe. The accounts do relate to your period but they're not for an identical period.

Ach - put what you like. They're hardly going to refuse the return, are they ?
