Declaring Tax on Revenue Generated by Now Dissolved Company

Declaring Tax on Revenue Generated by Now...

Didn't find your answer?

Throughout 2009 I was registered as self employed. I also was a director of a limited company at the time. In June 2009 my limited company was contracted to provide consultancy work to an insurance company for 2 months during which it invoiced £13,000. Foolishly, I did not file Companies House returns and the company was struck off the register in 2010. I never filed tax returns with HMRC either.

All of the revenue received by the company was taken out of the company's bank account by me in 2009.

Now I have a (late) self assessment to file for 2009-10. Obviously I have to report this income as I don't want to deceive the Revenue but I don't know how to do this. Can I just add the £13,000 revenue figure to my self employment revenue for 09-10 and pay Class 4 NI and PAYE on it? Is there another way I should account for and report it?
