EXCEL AS FRONT INTERFACE FOR ACCESS

Using an EXCEL Spreadsheet as a frontend IF and backend IF for MS Access.

I have a journal of purchases in EXCEL with coloumns for date, qty.,price etc. I want to use this as the data entry interface to create a ACCESS DB. Then I can use the DB to get my quesries, reports datewise,  etc. Later I want to  get a DB to EXCEL output.

EXCEL AS FRONT INTERFACE FOR ACCESS

PM:

Thanks for the links. I'll try something.

Do you have a readymade package for a simple inventory FIFO system. No frills, just dataentries , balances and values and aging ?

Thanks,

Link to it

If you create a blank access database, you can use the Excel spreadsheet as a data table by linking to the relevant worksheet in your spreadsheet.

You can then use forms, reports or queries, based on the data table.

Why?

If I bought a Jaguar would I tow it around with my Land Rover?

I wouldn't be asking these petty question if I could buy a Jag or a LR. I would then just hire an accountant to do it for me and give me the results.

Anyways thanks for the comp[liment.
