"This letter was sent in July and you still haven't replied. My wife could of had a baby and then some in that time."
She wasn't too happy at that one...

From Mr Pedant
It's not "My wife could of had a baby.....", it's "My wife could have had a baby.....". If accountants can't master English grammar what hope is there for civilisation as we know it.
On a serious note, I really don't know what we can do about the way HMRC deals with our post. I am still waiting for a reply to a letter sent in early February. "Six weeks? Is that all?", I here you say. I guess I am expecting too much.
It seems to be the major complaint on the part of agents. I can't understand why they won't use emails; they even seem reluctant to use faxes.
Is it of any use to complain to our MPs? I wouldn't have thought so. I suppose we will just have to live with it.

@SteveOH
Some senior HMRC staff are allowed external email addresses, for example Tax Inspectors. I have a variety of HMRC contacts with email addresses relating to a large company I work for, but I can tell you that it doesn't necessarily help - emails are just as easy to ignore as snail mail!!

Don't worry, we understand - birmingham city fans have never been the quickest learners, you will get there eventually :-)
Sorry, Clegganator
I hear "Could of..." and "Would of..." a lot down here in London; it drives me round the bend:)
I lived in Brum for 10 years until recently and I am going back as soon as possible. The people that I met there were the friendliest I've ever met. My wife and her family were all Birmingham City fans so I stubbornly started supporting the Villa. They still carried on talking to me!!
Congratulations Steve
On supporting the worlds greatest team !
Not showing it this season mind you, but we will return !
3 points a must on Sunday.
