I'm trying to work out what benefits are taxable and what aren't.
My normal avenues for determining these aren't working! Although Google throws up a link to the British Legion, it leads nowhere.
The benefits relate to a deceased elderly gentleman who had war injuries, and are:
- War Disablement Pension
- War Pensioner's Mobility Supplement
- Invalidity Allowance (I've found this one, which is non taxable)
- Comforts Allowance
- Unemployability Supplement
- Age Allowance (Disability Pension)
- Gallant Conduct Award/Service Rank Addition
I am right in thinking that all the above replace usual state retirement pension, aren't I?
Thanks for any help with these.

I hope Santa brings you some computer lessons for Christmas.
Does this help
http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/manuals/eimanual/eim74302.htm
and

and legislation here

You could also ask the Veterans Agency who administer them

It's not obvious
Obviously if they are not in the list then they are non taxable. :o)
They are not on the list of tax-free benefits either.
