So far I have filed three SA100's using the free HMRC software and all of them when submitted and I print a PDF copy are missing the clients details on the front page. I raised a query with HMRC which is being sent up the line to the IT people and am still awaiting a response - has anyone else had this problem ?

Yes, it has happened to my HMRC software submissions too. I mainly use Taxfiler, fortunately, but a few are still on the HMRC system and all have no name or address but do have the correct NiNo and date of birth shown, so identity can be confirmed. Pretty poor show though, they always used to appear with no problems.
Nor do I, just me here on my own. Strangely not one of the clients has commented on it!
I wouldn't like to use it to support a mortgage application though. I have just checked and I have sent in 6 and they all are blank at the top. This covers a period from April 7th to May 3rd, so almost a month. Will be using Taxfiler for the next few so I hope they fix it before I use it again.
I have had exactly the same problem with the 5 returns I have submitted so far... when I mentioned it to an agent on the Self-Assessment helpline he said he hadn't heard of any problems and put me through to the online help-desk. I hung up after 3/4 of an hour and I don't have the time to try again.
Very frustrating but the black and white option, while not as attractive to print for clients, does seem to have the information. Nice to see HMRC being efficient as usual...
I too am awaiting a response from the Technical Helpdesk on this - for several weeks. I have wasted hours trying various different settings on Adobe and the pdfs to no avail. This happened when the sytem first started back in the late 1990's and resolved for the second year of online filing but I havent seen the problem since then. HMRC IT team inspiring confidence for the future of MTD yet again !
