How to submit final accounts to CH/HMRC without a software

Final accounts submission

Didn't find your answer?

Is there a way to submit final accounts without using an accounting software to Companies House and HMRC?

I read here that HMRC has an free online filing service, can be used without the ixbrl tagging for filing a corporation tax return including accounts? https://www.gov.uk/guidance/corporation-tax-use-hmrcs-free-filing-software

What about Companies House? I believe paper submission is no longer use?

Can anyone advice me how a micro business submit their accounts nowdays?

Thanks in advance

I imagine most of them get their accountants to do it for them.

The free HMRC software you refer to is not something accountants would ever use, but I believe that it provides for Companies House filing too.

Accounts CAN still be submitted to Companies House on paper, if you prefer.

Thanks for the reply. My question was indeed about direct submission without using an accountant, since the accounts are for a tiny company on their 1st year and currently can't afford to pay an accountant or buying a software.
