.
Call them and ask. If anything it shows that you are consciencious (sp) and plan ahead. It's a broad subject... ask them to narrow the goalposts. It could vary wildly depending on company and role applied for.. I dont think you'll get an answer here.
I did one of those
It was some (ie. long) time ago, but a blue-chip company had this as part of an aptitude test, designed for finance graduates.
It consisted of IQ-type questions and lasted an hour or so. Basically there were various graphs and charts and you had to be able to deduce facts from them. It was multiple choice. It wasn't designed to demonstrate management accountancy knowledge but an aptitude for numbers, an eye for detail and a logical mind.
I remember only getting about 3/4 of the way through it before running out of time, but getting a score of 99%! I told the agency that couldn't be right, but it turned out the result was against the population who had taken the test.
That's my trumpet blown. Whatever form your test takes, good luck and have fun with it.
Turn the issue around
And think who are the people reading the accounts and what do they want out of them?
I've often come across management accounts that were so convoluted (pages of spreadsheets) that they meant nothing to the recipients, who often said nothing because they didn't want to appear 'thick'.
