More trouble with HMRC software

why does it do this

Didn't find your answer?

i dont use it much as i use Taxfiler now but i do for this client

the taxdue for 2016 17 is say 15,000 but the amounts paid on account will be 18,000 but in the new amende  summary page it says NIL tax payable asit does not seem to take into account the expected over payment , why? And will this correct itself after the July payment has been made?

Poor programming, I think.

If there's any software in a good position to know what's been paid, or is payable, on account, it ought to be HMRC's.

But they've never done it.

If you want to promote an individual to a higher status (I'm thinking Dame) HMRC is the place to be.
For someone looking for tax accuracy-look elsewhere.
It's been that way for sometime now and, most in the profession, are more than aware of that situation.
It must be really depressing to have to work in that environment, don't you think?
