My personal pet hate is being required to login in to government gateway for everything. I don't know about most, but I don't carry my personal government gateway login details around with me (not talking about agent access here), which means I can't access anything unless I'm at home.

Fat lot of use that is.

There's a balance between security and being able to legitimately access your own account.

At the moment, the balance is badly skewed.

I'm quite convinced that, although I didn't think it possible, HMRC's "services" are still on the decline?

Letters remain unanswered for months on end and, although I found the agent dedicated phoneline adequate, I'm now struggling to give any sections of HMRC, any credit whatsoever.

The time for automatic recompense, to agents and taxpayers is long overdue. The frustration is, how do achieve that situation?

I imagine that many of the software houses are "driving" the move towards MTD and HMRC will become more and more reliant on that relationship.

I'm waiting on a reply from April 2016. I am just checking moonpig to see what sort of anniversary card would be appropriate for a VAT investigation.
