Need help to finding warehouse management (WMS) ?

How to automate warehouse operations ? Looking for warehouse management software ?

Didn't find your answer?

Hi Everyone,

I have an online store and selling branded watches for (mens and womens).

Currently, struggling to track stock levels in warehouse locations.

We are selling around 5k+ watches in my store and I have warehouses in 2 different locations to meet faster fulfillment demands. I’m looking at a software with a monthly expenditure of 200 USD or below

Any suggestions please ?

How many locations re the stock?

Subject to software identifying location re where store arrives into and where departs from, an integrated invoicing/goods out and purchasing/goods in system surely ought to be able to accommodate.

Perhaps if you gave a little more detail re what parameters your online store can deal with re stock movement fields (Number of items I presume is easy, but location?)

You should also maybe give an indication re sort of price band you are looking for re paying for the software.

Subject to these I am sure someone on here will be pitching their software at you in no time.

Have you looked at Exact Online - Wholesale Distribution https://www.exact.com/uk/pricing#wholesale-distribution? It starts at £109pm and has built-in accounting and CRM functionality.

Note I was previously the Product Manager for Exact Online UK, but no longer have any commercial ties with the company.

We do some work with third party logistics companies, which are a more complicated case, but nevertheless may raise some relevant points.

Most importantly is your primary requirement simply to keep track of stock levels? If so you don't really need warehouse management software, which typically does lots of other things (such as pushing tasks out to warehouse staff). It also radically increases the chances of your USD200 / month budget being realistic.

Secondly the software needs to be appropriate to how your store and ship your stock. I'm guessing that you typically ship singles and that you probably pick from a single location per product ie don't have a bulk / pick face split. If so this is the simplest setup, and again keeps your budget realistic.

Lastly you need to look at the integration between your eCommerce platform and the WMS software, including specifically where the decision is made about which warehouse to ship from. It's reasonably likely that you'll need some custom software to do this for you, which will of course increase your initial setup costs.

Jonathan
