We are a back office service provider having built up an honest and successful company. Our clients are expecting more high level technical accounting service from us. The most logical and sensible answer to this is to have a formal relationship with a practicing Accountant. Any ideas on how such a business relationship can work where both Accountant and Back Office Svc Company can form a mutually beneficial relationship built on a single brand but keep both companies financially independent.
We are based in Watford, Herts and yet to agree anything with a practicing accountant but would appreciate any opinions on if this is feesable. Maybe someone has done similar with a bookkeeping firm and a practicing accountant so have a working model?

I don't know what a "back office service provider" is. What services do you provide for your clients.
Ok. So you don't prepare clients' accounts and tax returns, and your clients need those services in addition to those you provide, and regularly approach you to recommend accountants to do that work for them. Is that right?
Is there a particular reason why you couldn't just regularly refer to the same provider without needing them to be part of your 'brand'?
I can't see why an established firm would want to put part of it's work out under your brand, really.
Nothing wrong with saying we regularly work with X.
I agree with Tom. Have coffee with a few local accountants, and discuss how much book-keeping work they could refer to you in return for you referring accountancy work to them.
