. . . Or are you just pleased to see me?

. . . Or are you just pleased to see me?

Mae West might have raised an eyebrow had she been approached by 68 year old property salesmen John Maurice on his way to board a ferry at Dover. But he wouldn't be just pleased to see her; he had 63,000 euros stuffed down his underpants.

One of Revenue & Customs' trained sniffer dogs did show an interest in the well endowed pensioner and he was stopped and questioned.

The fat lady sang for Mr Maurice at Canterbury Crown Court when he pleaded guilty to laundering more than his underwear (not just once - the prosecution identified £3.8 million exchanged into euros and taken to Europe in 179 separate trips) and he was jailed for four years.

talking of underpants

did you see that guy the other day who's claimed the world record for putting on pairs of underpants...in excess of 200 apparently although why is not entirely clear...he only stopped because he "ran out of pants"...no M&S near presumably...

hmmm...maybe David our suspicions are now aroused so to speak that the guy was really a clever criminal giving the illusion that they were underpants...reportable ??

Hope he didn't..

I hope he didn't receive a call of nature whilst wearing all of these underpants.  That could be tricky.

He must have looked like a very small child with a very full nappy.

500 euro notes

The great thing about euros (if you are wanting to physically conceal cash) is that you can use the 500 euro note - which is worth much more than the highest denomination sterling note.

For that reason some purely UK based villains prefer euros (and why one might be suspicious of money laundering by any client with a lot of 500 euro notes).

scandalous

CD are you suggesting that David may be paid in 500 Euro notes that he then shoves down his underpants...??? This appears an outrageous slur on a fine upstanding gentleman although I do admit to wondering why his photo shows the top body half only...

Underpants man - just for fun

In case anyone didn't see it, I thought I would post the link here for you: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/tyne/8600616.stm

Not sure if I'm impressed or slightly saddened by it to be honest!

I think Becky

were he your hubby then you certainly would have great cause for concern...

I also have grave doubts whether the last few articles really were underpants...in particular the last one looked like something Nora Batty would wear...still the flossys enjoyed it from the looks on their faces...
