Practice software

Practice software

Didn't find your answer?

As the practice has grown Iris just gets more expensive and the charge to upgrade the licence just seems ridiculous.

What do others use?  I like the integration of Iris and the fact it works well.  IXBRL is simple and adding notes to accounts etc very easy.

I have had a few emails from Keytime and absolute.

Are these any good? Anyone had experience of moving from Iris to another package and have any good and bad points to share?

Thanks

I don't have a problem with ...

... the annual fees for IRIS, they are worth it, but do agree that the charge to add a user is prohibitive, and I think for IRIS actually reduces there profits.

I think here the old adage less is more fits perfectly, and people would happily sign up for more users without the big upfront cost.

Digita is integrated

How much do Iris charges work out per client?

I use Digita and they are integrated and I have calculated that their charges are around £7/£8 per client per program which seems reasonable.

I only have a one user licence though.

As a user, for the last 4 years,

I can confirm that Keytime works for me and, from my experience, offers an excellent level of support.

Furthermore and, important to me, the staff are extremely approachable and knowledgeable.

Until I changed to Keytime I was an IRIS user and, although an excellent product, the company had a peculiar air of arrogance, which I chose to move away from.

Absolute Accounts

Whilst a previous critic of Absolute Accounts I can honestly say this year has been much much better. Good software updates and support, very quick and effective.

As it stands I will be renewing for the next tax year with them.
