Reading Quickbooks on Excel

Reading Quickbooks on Excel

Didn't find your answer?

My client has sent me the Quickbooks Company file (.QBM) as he is having trouble downloading to Excel.  Does anyone know how to open it without Quickbooks before I tear out what little hair I have left?

Thanks in advance for any answers.

I don't think you can open it!

Don't think you can open it without QuickBooks but exporting information from QuickBooks into Excel is easy. What is it that you want exported?

Send me a PM

Actually, find out what version of QB your client has and send me a private message and I will happily talk you through it.

Handling client QB data when you don't have QB yourself

Our new online service at www.ledgerscope.com allows accountants to work with Sage and QB data uploaded directly from the client's own copy of the software.

This is a new alternative for you if getting clients to export to Excel is proving problematic.

UPDATE: Ledgerscope now has two products for accountants, Checkmybooks and Movemybooks. Checkmybooks is the service I refer to here.
