Revenue computer log in problems

Revenue computer log in problems

Did anyone else try to log on to the Revenue website this afternoon only to be told it did not recognise your User ID and password?

Well I did on 3 occasions before phoning the Agents Helpdesk. After being told to try various different things (with no success) the person at the other end of the line announced that as far as his screen was concerned I had successfully logged in - but the reality was that my screen was telling me I had entered an invalid user ID and password!!

He then went off to consult a colleague and came back on the phone to tell me not to worry (!!!) because 5 other people had just phoned in with the same complaint.

We rang off on the basis that I would try logging on again later.

What odds on the system crashing completely before 31 Jan???

Continuing problems with the IR
THe IR is driving everyone crazy; my own big bugbear at the moment - a number of clients 64-8's sent three months ago to Longbenton have not appeared on my client list; the IR advised to use the online authorisation system, used it enter codes etc. they do not appear on my list. Contact IR before Christmas they take the details of the missing clients and will "Escalate" the clients concerned.

Telephone call last week from IR; clients have all been successfully escalated. Tried to file TR's this week... and guess what; they are not on my client list. I've spent the mornng going from online helpdesk to local district offices etc. etc. I am seriously considering going back to filing TR's by the hand delivery approach to the local IR office at the end of each month. It was far less stressful...

Keep Trying!
I've just had the same problem on the VAT site. It worked at the 4th or 5th attempt; I guess it's just congestion at the portal.

E-Filing? don't make me laugh!!
I tried this morning, logged on ok but the system would not let me in to submit a SAR, nor would it accept one that it kicked me out on two days ago - 95% complete it was.

If this is prgress I'm a Rock God!
