I'm hoping someone can help, I have two computers in the office, however sage isn't working on one. I have backed up sage onto the computer that sage currently works on. Now i have previously been adivised that i can now delete Sage off both computers and reistall then put the back up onto both and this will start working again. Can anyone please confirm if this is what will happen or will i lose over 10years of vital information?

If the backup contains all of your data then you should get it back once the backup has been restored. To be certain you get everything take a couple of full backups, not just data only.
I have no idea if reinstalling Sage will fix whatever problem it is you are experiencing. Nor why is Sage being removed from the PC that is working okay.
When you say that Sage doesn't work, what exactly happens?
Are both installations of Sage separate or do they look at the same set of data over the network? If, for example, it is a network issue, then reinstalling is unlikely to make any difference.

So, at the moment, one of the copies of Sage has had more updates installed that the other and a reinstall won't help with that.
There are some updates that, for some reason, the program cannot find so they don't install automatically.
You can manually select, download and install updates from here: www.sage.co.uk/accountsupdates

As John said, manually download the update you require.
If you go to Help > About on each machine, you will be able to see the specific version and build number - this will tell you which update/patch you need for the machine which is giving you problems.
Are both machines on the same operating system, eg. Windows 7, 8 or 10?
As you've just mentioned Sage 50, I think that the following helpful article on Aweb might be useful:

As long as you have backups (take two, to different physical devices/locations) then there is no real risk.
You haven't said which version of Sage you're using (latest versions may require a central server to enable sharing of data), but as long as its a current version of Sage, then you'll be fine as support is at least available if required.
If you're using a version older than v2013, then you may need a rethink.
