Self emplyed or limited company

Hi, I have a question from client side. Can I be still self employed when I would like to employee 4 subcontractors and my income is above vat threshold?

Yes, whyever not?

But you can't employ subcontractors.

They're employees or they're subcontractors.

Never both.

Whether you'd be better trading as a company or self-employed is entirely another matter on which you disclose insufficient information to decide.

Your choice. Advantages & disadvantages with either form, just be sure you know the risks.
