This in turn causes problems because all other components on the page are under http - thus giving rise to the IE9 question about security
example - shows as http in the summary screen but acquires https along the way to the detail screen:

I've already reported this
The folks at Accounting Web have got their techies looking at this. I had an "Any Answers" response rejected several times the other day because of the https:// thing.
It's not done on purpose, just a bug.
It drives me mad too!
For example when putting in links to stories or images on the site...
In August we switched to a newer and faster version of the Drupal content management system. It's much better at handling our growing traffic load (now regularly getting more than 50k hits a day from 20-30k visitors), but it does have some behavioural quirks.
Our tech team is still investigating, but it always helps to send them a reminder if anything is bothering you - so thanks both for bringing it to our attention.

Every time I see your picture, after I've admired your fine moustache, I am reminded of my dad from when he was younger. I need to find an old photo and compare...
time to fix ...
Since @frustratedwithhmrc has already reported the issue ...
I guess the next question has to be - timescale for estimated fix ?
At the outside - 7 days from reporting the problem should be the turnaround for bugs
Assuming of course that it is a bug and not per M$ a 'by design' feature!
Finally is there a reported issue db so that we all know what is outstanding & don't waste time covering the same ground
AWeb feedback group?
The discussion group would be a good place, but I think the groups don't get used so much since we got the new AWeb, other than Time Out. That has turned out to be a great success :)
Should now be fixed
Yes, we can carry on in the feedback group if necessary but for now we think we've fixed this issue.
We believe that certain words (register, registration, administration etc) in the title of posts were causing problems.
It should be fine to use them from now on and we've tried to think of all the variations.
Let me know if you get anything else along these lines.
Thanks
Jenny
