Tax Relief for Small Business

Tax Relief for Small Business

Didn't find your answer?

Hello there,

We have two new small businesses and are just about breaking even.  The ERS NIC is crippling us and we wondered whether there were any government inititives or schemes out there that we can take advantage of.

Both companies have been trading for about a year.  They are Limited and are a pub and a restaurant.

Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

Kind Regards,

Tom

Regional employer NICs holiday for new businesses

Maybe too late now.

Go to business link (or do a Google search) for NIC holiday.

Nope - as far as I know it is a matter of paying the amount, unless you fall into the regions covered by the NI holiday.

If it is cripping cashflow, I suggest you phone the HMRC Business Support Line to see if they will agree payment of any liaiblies by instalments, though this will deal only with arrers of payments.

As far as I am aware the Employers NIC Holiday is aimed at new businesses only...
