Is there any way of turning off the "Thanks" notifications. I know I will be inundated with emails. Thank you.

We'll look into this as a specific user preference, but for threads that you start try selecting the "None" option (default) for receiving updates on your post and see if that suppresses any thanks too.
What about threads you just comment on, rather than start? I've only posted on one thread so far but I've already got six of these emails, all identical. They're a nuisance and, more seriously, receiving the same email lots of times may make corporate spam filters recognise accountingweb.co.uk as a 'dodgy' domain and cause it to be blocked.

Many a true word spoken in jest! I am already thinking of treating them as Junk Mail in my Inbox.
And can someone tell me where to go when I want to wallow in my self-importance and see how many times I have been thanked?
Maybe, but working hard on something that the majority of users were happy with is just a waste of a time and a kick in the balls (if I had any that is).
Have you considered changing your email address on your profile to [email protected]?
I’m sure the facility to stop these emails coming would be fixed very quickly if everyone changed their email to this.
Christ that is annoying. And I dont get many thanks apart from to rude posts about HMRC or similar.
Just changed my email to a "dustbin" account so I wont receive any emails now from Aweb.
[***]. The change of email address doesnt seem to have saved. So still getting them.
This is shonky software
