Morning
I have a client who I look after their tax affairs. Sadly they passed away in January and at present probate is being obtained.
The client had a number of commercial properties which they registered for VAT for (individual rather than a company). VAT returns prepared each quarter by a friend of theirs.
The beneficiary of the estate (who I also deal with) has asked if I can prepare the various forms so that the VAT can be transferred to him. Has anyone had experience of a similar scenario? Is it simply a case of filling in forms to transfer the VAT registration over?
He is also an executor so I assume first of all I have to transfer it over to the executors and then again to him in his own name?
Many thanks
Bob
