I think I know the answer to this (and I think it's been raised here before, but can't find anything) - but want to check:
Employee A gifts shares to employee B (unconnected) for £nil, when the MV is £x. Assuming that the "normal family etc" exclusion does not apply, and B is treated as acquiring his shares by reason of his employment, does the company get a Sch 23 deduction for the amount charged to income tax?
