US employment taxes

I have a client who, having been non-resident for a number of years has now become UK resident again due to the number of days spent here, whilst being employed in the US. I am in receipt of his Wage & Tax Statement which has an array of deductions, including medicare, social security, . Any ideas of getting clear which will be taxes, and which will not?
