VAT - zero rate?

VAT - zero rate?

Didn't find your answer?

Hi

I have a customer in the UK who would like goods shipped to another company in their group in Dublin, invoice to go to the UK.

Both companies are VAT registered in their respective countries.

Can I zero rate the supply? Would this be classed as an EC Sale for reporting

Thanks

Which VAT no?

I also need to know which VAT number I quote on the invoice (assuming I can zero rate) the UK companys or the Dublin company?

Thank you

If you are selling the goods to the UK company then title must pass in the UK and you should charge UK VAT at the appropriate rate. Your customer is then selling the goods to its associate company and will become responsible for the EC Sales reporting etc.
