VT Final Accounts

VT Final Accounts

Didn't find your answer?

You may think this is a stupid question - and possibly it is...

I have just bought VT Final accounts, and noticed - rather late in the day that it states Excel version must be 2007 or higher.

Does that mean it won't work at all in 2003 version (which I have)? I have had a quick look but until I've trained myself up it's not possible for me to see what I wouldn't get if I don't upgrade Excel.

Please be kind.

Is this a new requirement? I have been operating on the 2003 version for some time and haven't noticed the accounts going wrong??

I use 2003, too

No problems to report, either.

EDIT: I think you have misread the rquirements ... which are as follows:

System requirements

Microsoft Excel 2002 for Windows or later (including the new style Excel 2007 or later)

Thanks - What a relief!

I am in one of those moods where I have no faith whatsoever in my ability to even hold a pen, so it comes as no surprise when you tell me I haven't read the instructions properly.

Thank you both for your comments and I hope I didn't alarm anyone.

I really don't want to "upgrade" Excel as I know how much time it would take me to get accustomed to the later versions!

Despite other posters assurances to the contrary!

I have been using Excel and Word 2007 since April and I STILL wish I could go back to 2003!!!

I know what you mean..

I haven't seen the new Word, but the only thing positive I can say about the new Excel is it has some lovely extra colours to use. For someone with a black and white printer that is not a lot of use!!

I know this is OT but I recently upgraded to a new PC with Windows 7 and Office 2010 and I also really like the new Excel 2010.

I had been using 2003 for years but the new 2010 is so much easier to use once you master the "ribbon" and has really speeded things up.

Just to confirm VT Final Accounts will run on Excel 2002 or later so will be fine on Excel 2003.
