Didn't find your answer?

We want to offer our clients there own bookkeeping software, we our looking at an online solution so we can monitor what they are up to.

We currently use SAPA and also use sage for tax software.

We have looked at Sage one and it seems like a good option, we have also looked at keytime & Kashflow.

Has anyone used this software and what do you recommend?

Freeagent

I'm a big fan of freeagent central http://www.freeagentcentral.com/

It may not suit all clients, but from our experience, you will find it difficult to find a 'one fits all' solution.

FreeAgent & Sage

I am also a big fan of FreeAgent, its easy to use, online and they work well with Accountants in practice. Your practice dahsboard enables you to mage all clients within the system effectively.

If you are keeping books for clients using Sage then another solution would be using PaperLess ClientAccess with Sage 50 Accounts which enables your client to share documents with you electronically which then can be read using Automatic Invoice Recognition and then posted directly into Sage 50 Accounts from PaperLess.

I'm a fan of Kashflow, we have introduced this recently into our practice and changed a few clients over to it and it has worked really well.  It is very simple to use and does a lot more than Sage One although I have not used freeagent.

It allows you to view your client's accounting records over the internet in "real time" which we have found is fantastic in helping our clients get better at recording their own records.

In addition Kashflow integrates seamlessly with another payroll product, mypaye.co.uk, which costs £1 per employee per month and when you create a month's or week's payroll in mypaye, it automatically syncs with Kashflow and creates all the corresponding cheques in the bank, it really does save a lot of time.  I'm not sure other SaaS products over that kind of integration with other products but we have found this to be excellent.

Why not sign up for a 60 day free trial for both products and make your own mind up.

KashFlow V FreeAgent

Yes I think KashFlow is also an alternative, although I have not used it.

Your comment reminded me that FreeAgent has built in payroll that also posts the entries to the accounts so avoiding duplication, its very neat and easy to use.
