What is the 10:10 club

What is the 10:10 club

Didn't find your answer?

Client owing tax says he is in the 10:10 club. Does anyone know what this is, could not see anything relevant on Google.? Don't want to reveal my ignorance! Wondering if it is rude?

Thanks

There is one but it's an organisation of amateur radio operators and I don't see the relevance

Perhaps there's more than one 10-10 club

Maybe it's...

... for people who are half blind in each eye?

10:10 till we do it again!

Sadly I remember that brief period in the seventies when CB radio was cool .... OK so I was about 10 when the film convoy came out. About six months later I saw Debbie Harry in thigh high boots and CB was never cool again!!

Is he near Tenbury Wells?

Could be Tenbury Tennis Club?

Or does he like cutting his carbon emissions?

Isn't there a signal language used by amateur radios hams that starts with the prefix 10 and is also used by the police eg 10-4 means acknowledged ( I think)

Answering my won question Yes there is 10-10 means transmission completed standing by. It might mean in your case that he has the information and is thinking about it. Or it's a total red herring. See the rest below

10-1 = Receiving poorly

10-2 = Receiving well

10-3 = Stop transmitting

10-4 = OK, message received

10-5 = Relay message

10-6 = Busy, stand by

10-7 = Out of service, leaving air

10-8 = In service, subject to call

10-9 = Repeat message

10-10 = Transmission completed, standing by

Thanks all for your replies, I like the idea of Debbie Harry in boots or sans boots! You have all reassured me that I can go back in confidence and pretend I know what he is talking about. I'm not aware that he is  radio ham unless he has kept that from me

cheers all

It's a great song Edward & I have it on my ipod - I have no shame :)

10-10 = Transmission completed, standing by

A common parting some years ago was "10-10 till we do it again"

Perhaps he is confessing to being a repeat offender.

Debbie Harry and the 10:10 club

what a lot of interest, as a follow up, I did put it to him that I was not aware of the 10;10 club and did he think it was worthwhile me joining.......??. He turned up at the office in boots, and a  blond wig singing- the rest as they say is history!! However, he has not shed any further light on the 10:10 reference

cheers
