What scanning hardware do you use?

High volume scanning hardware

Didn't find your answer?

Hi

Like a lot of other people we receive high volumes of records from clients every month in order to do their bookkeeping. We utilise ReceiptBank for the invoice recognition, but getting the invoices into RB in the first place reduces the efficiency. With clients we have moved as many suppliers as possible over to emailing directly in, but you're always left with 2 types of document that need to be manually scanned: 1) the nice neat A4 invoices from suppliers that won't email in that any all-in-one can handle 2) receipts (from Tesco and the like). Using the RB app isn't great with cash receipts, it's intended more for light use by clients. We've found it to be glitchy when trying to take photos of a lot of receipts in one sitting.

What hardware do people use when scanning a high volume of irregular sized invoices/receipts? I've looked at the Fujitsu Scansnap ix100 and ix500 and both seem like good solutions (one mobile, one not). Anybody any experience with either of these?

Many thanks all.

I've got a Fujitsu ScanSnap from about 2009 which is still going great. No complaints with it at all.
