where can I find a form 64-8 to complete...

Didn't find your answer?

Previously I completed 64-8s and other forms using the HMRC CD-ROM. I can no longer use this on our new IT system. It is not possible to type on the form on the HMRC site so I am reduced to printing them off and handwriting the details - not very professional. Does anyone have a link to HMRC forms that can be completed onscreen and then printed, in the same way as for Companies House forms? Yes, I am aware that we could go down the online route, but many of our clients are often away for months on end and the authorisation codes would expire before their return, hence we are sticking steadfastly to the paper route (until that is taken away!). Hopefully someone can help as I have not been able to find anything on the web.

It used to be possible to download the pdf of the 64-8 from the HMRC website, but I agree this does not seem to be possible any more - the form simply won't allow you to enter text.  I too would be interested to know if anyone has found a 64-8 that text can be entered into, as I like to use the paper 64-8 and agree that it looks more professional if typed.

64-8

Hi

I have it saved as a pdf but I've tried to copy it over and it won't let me.  If you send me your email address I'll try to attach it.

Tax software

You may find you can produce one via your tax software. I use TaxCalc which produces a 64-8.

Sage software also allows you to print 64-8 on screen & print.

Why don't you ...

... print off the blank form, enter standard details such as the agent's name, address and references by hand and take photocopies to be completed by hand for each client before being given or sent to them for signature?

PTP prepares 64-8's with client boxes completed, just needs printing and signing.

PDF Writer?

If you don't do very many and don't use 3rd party software try a PDF writer.

I use CutePDF for some forms, it's cheap and easy to use. Good for other PDF kerfuffles too,
