Which Software to Choose??

Which accounting software is best for practices promoting their product??

Didn't find your answer?

I have recently sent off my practicing certificate application, and I am currently researching which software provider to use as a basis for promoting cloud base accounting through my practice once up and running.

I am familiar with a couple of the main providers including Xero, Freeagent and Quickbooks, as I use these on a regular basis, and know the advantages and disadvantages of each.

However what I am struggling to get information on (unless contacting the providers directly) is what benefits I would receive as an accountant promoting the software???

Where I currently work, we use Xero and I believe they receive a 25% discount which can either be passed on to client or taken as additional profits when charging the client the standard Xero fees.

Any information or past experience in relation to commissions, fee discounts or other benefits would be welcomed.

Thank you in advance.

Attaboy! The first question you ask when considering the best software for your prospective clients: What's in it for me?

Sheesh.

25% taken as additional profits. So THAT explains why so many of the big boys in my area are getting everyone to use Xero and why one person I took on said "I only used it because they told me to"
