Windows Internet Explorer annoying "pop up"

Windows Internet Explorer annoying "pop up"

Didn't find your answer?

This morning my PC has an annoying pop up.  It was not there last week.

When I am in email a pop up says

"Windows Internet explorer   Stop running this script?

A script on this page is causing Internet Explorer to run slowly.  If it continues to run, your computer might become unresponsive."

There is a choice of yes or no.  If no is selected the question is repeated immediately.  If yes is selected the computer carries on slowly and after a short while the same question is repeated.

I have run a full McAfee scan with the result of no threats, no problems found.

I have BT Yahoo email.

Does anyone now how to solve this?  Thank you for all replies

Don't use Yahoo!

The problem isn't your PC and isn't Internet Explorer (per se).  The annoyance is caused by a Yahoo script (probably related to one of their adverts) that either doesn't work in IE or just has a bug that will make any browser complain.

.

If you're using yahoo make sure you always have the lates version installed. We've come across this type of thing (I use yahoo IM to talk to a couple of collegues in the States), and updating it has always cleared the problem.

They have recently released a newer version - so update.
