XBRL

XBRL

Didn't find your answer?

Some one please guide me....I have a number of small limited companies and this new XBRL regime is causing me no end of grief!!!

I made a huge discovery recently with the free software supplied by HMRC for the submission of CT600 BUT this can only be used for short returns, so I need feel I am back to square one...

We prepare accounts in Excel...I have tried using a commercial software product to convert the file to html ready to attached to a CT600 for submission but this has come back with errors...

What could be recommended...I'm looking for something very easy to use and not expensive to buy and essentially something that works!!!

Has anyone else experienced issues with XBRL and has found a solution

Many thanks

Might be helpful

 Hi Samnico,

Earlier in the year I put together a fairly simple guide to iXBRL options, including some pros & cons of the different methods; it's not very detailed, but it should be in plain English, which can be at a bit of a premium where XBRL is concerned!

You can download the guide at http://www.keytime.co.uk/newswire/ixbrlsurvivalguide-hi-res.pdf

(it's a bit of a big pdf, so a right-click, save as would be recommended) Hope it helps - if not, or if you have any questions, feel free to get in touch, and I'll do what I can to help.

[Disclaimer - I might mention in passing that Keytime sell answers to the iXBRL problem, but it will be gentle, I promise!]

Jim ( jimmack at keytime dot co dot uk should get hold of me if needed )

Xbrl

Try comprehensive software, total cost including VAT £144, you just enter as a trial balance and it converts the format.

Fairly easy to use, like everything else it takes a little bit of geting used to. A few hick ups to start but they do get on and correct any errors that occur in the software.

Have recommend it to colleages and they use it also.
