Hi - does anybody know if it is possible to import the same bank transactions twice into Xero. I am trying to sort a (an?) historical bank fudge and have come across a couple of duplicate items on the imported statement. Without access to the original / online version I don't know whether these are genuine dupicate payments or double imported? 16.15 on a friday arvo and kissing goodbye to my weekend - any help appreciated.

It is certainly possible to import duplicate bank statement items into xero (I speak from experience). It is quite easy to delete them too, if you are sure that is what you have done...
As said it's not difficult to import things twice. Xero is generally very good at recognising duplicates when you import the same statement exactly, less good when you overlap ranges so only part of an import is a duplicate. It will recognise some, but not all.
That's why there is a recommendation to regularly check the Xero record agaisnt statements .
The quickest way to sort these out is to use their reconciliation report at different dates, and compare those with the actual bank balance. By starting before and after the known problem it's generally quite quick to zoom on on the problem date and find out what's been duplicated ( or of course omitted)
How were you ever going to be able to reconcile the bank account without access to the bank statements?
